§ 2-126. Audit reports to city council.

  • (a)

    Each audit will result in a written report.

    (b)

    The city auditor shall submit each audit report to the city council and shall transmit a copy of each report to the city manager. A copy shall be filed with the city clerk and the city public library.

    (c)

    In accordance with applicable government auditing standards, the audit report shall contain relevant background information and findings and recommendations and shall communicate results to the audit committee, city council and management.

    (d)

    Each audit report shall be retained and disposed of in accordance with the records retention and disposition schedule established pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes Section 41-151.14.
